Since the beginning of time, humans have been obsessed with labels. It makes it easier to put people in a box and label them in a category. Oftentimes, some group of people don’t fit neatly into one category or they belong to two categories that seem to contrast on first glance. One of such is Christian feminists – believers of Christ who strongly believe that women deserve equal rights as men. Some Christians don’t subscribe to feminism and some feminists abhor Christianity.

To get a solid answer to the issue that has birthed this debate, it’ll be essential to go to the foundations of Christianity; How did Jesus treat women? What roles did women play in the ministry? What would Jesus do if a woman missed out on opportunities because of her gender?
